The Shed at Strawbery Hill USA is a simple, old-timey peach shed filled with sweet, southern goodness. The Shed was built in 1955 by Gene and Ansel Cooley and used as a peach packing shed through 1989. At this time, James and his father Gene Cooley decided to develop their our own niche market by selling peaches directly to the consumer. They wanted to sell peaches that were "red, ripe, and ready to eat" and that's just what they did. The original packing shed was transformed into a premier roadside market by 1990 and the rest is history!
We, the Cooley's, invite you to grab a rocking chair and spend the afternoon under our 61 year old peach shed and let the sweet aroma of South Carolina fruit surround you. You will get a taste of farm life as you see the tractors pull around the shed with a load of fresh peaches or strawberries fresh from the field. We unload them right under the shed where you can choose your favorite basket of tree-ripened peaches, juicy strawberries, or fresh blackberries. We've even got a fruit sampling table where you can "try it before you buy it".
Y'all come see us soon!
